The house sits next to the village churchyard, but it's not the home of the church's leader or a private retreat for monks. Instead, there have been allegations that the house was once a school and a courthouse.
Harding only learned about the property, known as Ivy House, when a friend's parents told her it was for sale - the friend's parents had a connection to the owner, who had lived there for 40 years. "She really wanted it to go to a young family, and we were lucky to have the chance to see it before others did," she remembers.
