Kate Bush's former country home was once a Georgian paper mill – the quaint, historic home is listed for approximately $14.2 million

Homes of Georgian style are plentiful in the UK, where the traditional design originated – but few of these preserved houses can call iconic British musician and "Running Up That Hill" singer Kate Bush a resident.

A house in Theale, located in the Reading area of West Berkshire, once belonged to a musician who even converted part of it into a recording studio. The home, which has nine bedrooms and seven bathrooms, is now for sale for approximately $14.2 million. Listed with Strutt & Parker, the property sits on 22.54 acres of land.

This home is full of historical charm, featuring underfloor heating, a three-car garage, a separate guest cottage, and a garden overlooking the river, let's take a closer look.

The Grade II, red brick building is situated on the River Kennet, where it once functioned as a Georgian-era paper mill, remnants of which can still be seen on the original grounds.

The combination of arched entryways, white tile flooring, and wood furniture creates a grand yet inviting atmosphere, with the natural materials adding depth and personality to the space.

A Georgian home wouldn't be considered complete without a sitting room, and this one features a working fireplace, spacious windows, and enough room for large sofas and coffee tables.

The homeowner chooses marble countertops, high-end Gaggenau appliances, and a combination of unstained wood and cabinets with blue paint for a splash of color against the neutral backdrop. Additionally, a second prep kitchen provides extra space for larger gatherings.

The master bedroom has a simple and understated style, with luxurious drapes and a wooden bed frame creating a stately atmosphere.

One of the main attractions of the property is its orangery, which can be seen and entered from a sitting/dining area with a television, sofas, and a circular table. The glass area measures almost 1,200 square feet, offering stunning views of the gardens and the river.

A book enthusiast's dream come to life, boasting floor-to-ceiling wooden shelves and plush leather armchairs.

The property features a 75-foot steel and tile footbridge that spans the river, allowing you to fish from it, and invites exploration of its vast terrain.
