Zelenskyy reacts to US aid suspension for 90 days

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated during a press conference with Moldovan President Maia Sandu that US military aid to Ukraine will continue as planned, contradicting the US State Department's decision to temporarily halt foreign aid for 90 days.

The president announced that he wouldn't comment on the U.S. State Department's decision yet, but made it clear that military aid to Ukraine will continue as scheduled.

"Thank God," Senator Kyiv stated.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order temporarily halting all U.S. foreign aid programs for 90 days to carry out reviews and ensure they align with his policy goals.

The Pentagon reiterated that this decision does not impact U.S. military assistance to Ukraine.

On January 24th, the US State Department issued an order to "cease operations" of existing international aid programs and halt new ones. For Ukraine, some humanitarian aid was provisionally halted.

According to The New York Times, the US has temporarily suspended several programs for accepting immigrants, including Ukrainian refugees.
