In-N-Out relocating headquarters within California, opening office in Tennessee

In-N-Out announced this week that it is moving its headquarters back to Baldwin Park in Los Angeles County in order to "bring its West Coast headquarters team back together under one roof."

The company is planning to shut down its corporate office, which has been located in Irvine for many years.

The company plans to expand to a new location by 2029, the company stated. Over 500 corporate employees will be based in that new office.

Harry and Esther Snyder founded the burger chain in Baldwin Park 77 years ago, so the shift to closing the Irvine office and relocating its headquarters back to Baldwin Park will be a return to the company's roots.

The decision comes as In-N-Out is on the verge of opening a brand-new 100,000-square-foot eastern territory office near Nashville by the end of next year.

In-N-Out stated that a "majority" of its corporate team will be based out of Baldwin Park or the eastern office location after the Irvine office closes.

"Some of our associates will be moving to Tennessee, which makes it even more crucial to consolidate our western headquarters into one location, and our company's roots run deepest in Baldwin Park. Our West Coast team will be together in one place, where In-N-Out Burger first got started," owner Lynsi Snyder said in a statement.

The company revealed its plans for a new office in its eastern territory, located near Nashville, at the start of 2023.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee stated when In-N-Out announced its plans for the state. "Tennessee's business climate is unmatched, it has a skilled workforce, and its central location make our state the ideal place for In-N-Out to establish its first Eastern U.S. hub.

The company's establishment of a Nashville-area office is the result of a $125.5 million investment, according to the Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development, which announced this in January 2023.

There are numerous In-N-Out restaurants located across eight different states, including California, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Colorado, and Idaho.
